First Day of Classes

Aug 28, 2006 19:43

Well, my first day of classes is over. And let me just say that it wasn't too bad. First of all, as you already know, I got my exercising out of the way in the morning, so I didn't have to worry about it later in the day. Also, I only had 2 classes today--11:30 and 12:30--so that wasn't too bad. My Honors seminar professor is a beginning teacher, meaning she's in the process of getting her PhD and this is her first day of teaching; she's pretty young, probably in her mid-20's, and I'm wondering how this class is going to be. She was really acting like she was one of us, so I'm not sure how she's going to to teach us. Oh, and my Creative Writing professor's a lot older (lol) and has probably been teaching for many years; he's pretty funny, too. I have a feeling the class is going to be difficult, but at least it's doing something I love (writing); we're starting out with a poetry unit, and I'm not really a big fan of poetry (I'm not the greatest poet), but we'll eventually be writing fiction (yay!).
