The beach is open!!!!

Today was another gloriously sunny day--oh wait, you wouldn't know that yesterday was like that too 'cuz I forgot to update! (oh well) But anyway, apparently the beach [DuBois, down in the Borough] opened yesterday; I didn't realize that until Mom & I bumped into the lifeguard at the grocery store last night. Luckily, though, today was an awesome day too--but, unlike yesterday, there haven't been any clouds and it hasn't rained at all (*knock on wood*)--so I decided to talk a walk down to the beach. My mom, the great person/mother who she is, dropped off a chair for me [she drove] at the beach, so I wouldn't have to drag it with me; that 40-45 minute [approx] walk [there & back] was basically my workout for today, and it seems like such a shame to drive down there when it's so close, wouldn't you agree? Well anyway, by the time I got down there it was about 11:45. It felt really nice to be relaxing & tanning & reading--& I had lunch too--and just being at the beach & near the ocean is so much fun. Of course, I never go in the water, but especially not today because I heard it was like 50 degrees, ouch! I only stayed for a couple hours, because I didn't want to get a sunburn or anything...right now I've got a pretty awesome tan already, so I figure it's okay for me to take a break from the sun for a bit.
