Power outage???

It was very strange, actually. I was having a rather boring Thursday, and I was just playing around w/ my Myspace profile--it was getting kinda boring, and the layout I'd made wasn't working anymore--and, all of a sudden (tout d'un coup), the power [in the house] flicked off--but only for a couple seconds, and then it immediately came back on. It happened again a little while later, when I was still online, but thankfully my computer didn't shut off or anything (after all, it is a laptop, and can run on battery power). And it didn't last that long that time either. So I had to like change the clocks and everything, but the power ended up going off again later, at like 5:15pm. And this time, it stayed off for quite some time, and was still off when my mom & brother came home at 6pm (he had crew practice); seeing as we didn't have electricity or anything, we couldn't cook, so we decided to go out to eat. (My dad wasn't home yet, so we just decided we'd take stuff home for him). We ended up going to Vetrano's Restaurant in Westerly [RI], an Italian restaurant. I was confused about why our power was out, because it wasn't like there was lightening or thunder or anything of that sort, but then my mom explained that someone had crashed into a [electricity] pole at about mid-day (when the power went out originally), so we just assumed they were trying to fix it. Fortunately, when we got back home a couple hours later, the power was back on.
