I now have a new advisor -- well, technically, I don't have a new one until the form's processed and the new one gets all my materials and such, but it's basically all taken care of. (And I could cross one thing off my list!) I still had [have] the same advisor I was assigned before freshman year, and I never got around to changing it until now; I mean, my advisor's okay and everything, but he's in the music department, so I don't see how he could help me that much with my major, which is English. I originally asked my Creative Writing professor if he could be my advisor, but he said he can't, because he's only a visiting professor, and it would make more sense for me to find someone who's going to stick around for awhile (lol). But anyways, he recommended the professor I had for Shakespeare last year (first semester), and even though her specialty's not Creative Writing, he said she would be good for that -- and she agreed to do it! I just got back from filling out a Change of Status form in the Registrar's office, so I've done everything I needed to do, yay! :)
