Regina came to me today. I was surprised as I thought I'd never see her in my office again. I know she once felt betrayed by me, but so many things have happened since then, and she has changed so much. I like to think that I was there for the beginning of that, that I helped to set her on the path that led from darkness to light. If I helped her at all then, I'm hoping that now I can help her even more.
She's been put in such a bad situation. How many of us would react well if someone came along and snatched the person we loved from our fingertips? Finally getting her second chance, she was happy, and then this happened.
It could have gone wrong,horribly, terrifyingly wrong, but instead of seeking revenge, she came to me. It was sad to see her so distraught. I've wanted Regina to face her demons and seek redemption for a long time, but it doesn't seem fair that after being a hero, after turning permanently to the side of good, she should have to go through this.
I've recently realized that I like our queen. She has a great potential for love as well as the known potential for darkness. It's hard to listen as she finally confronts her past. But one thing is different. There is one positive in all of this mess. She's strong, she'll get through it. This time, she will not fall to darkness.
