Contrary to what most people believed, Teagan tended to disagree with the Council on the bast majority of things. Being the poster boy for the Order had meant they had reprimanded him more often than the others, trying to mold him into what they imagined the greatest Jedi Knight could be. Needless to the say his respect for the Council was only skin deep.

"Actually," he said while scratching the back of his head. "My plan ended at the turbolift." He smiled down at her for a moment when the turbolift doors shifted open.

In the lift stood a small chagrian male, a youngling. When he looked up his eyes widened, taking Daphne in. As if in defiance of his anatomy his eyes widened even more as he noticed Teagan. It seemed the Jedi Knight's popularity hadn't dimmed with the situation on Zeltros. In fact it had only grown because of the unnatural feats that had been broadcast on the Holonet.

"After you," Teagan said the youngling with a nod. He stepped to the side and held motioned for the boy to exit politely. When the Chagrian continued to stare all Teagan could do was look down and sigh.

Teagan's easy smile reassured any lingering doubts she might have about where they were going to go from here, and she looked down at the slack-jawed youngling with amused eyes.

She gently put a hand on his shoulder and steered him carefully out of there, patting him on the head once. "Take a holo. It'll last longer."

With a chuckle, she pushed the button to close the lift doors, leaving him staring after them with eyes bulging out of his head.

Her eyebrows lifted as she glanced over to Teagan next to her.

"So your plans ended right here, huh?" she said with a smirk.

"Yes, right here. That youngling was your final test. I wanted to see how you'd handle the pressure," he says with a grin. He bows low and theatrically, deepening his voice to add to the effect. "There is nothing left that I can teach you, Padawan Lightheart."

Without coming up from the bow, Teagan presses the button on the lift that will take them to the Room of a Thousand Fountains.

"You know," she teased, "if that's really what you consider a great test of my abilities, I'm not sure what that says about your level of confidence in me." She folded her arms jauntily across her chest, one hip jutting to the side in a particularly sassy stance. "... Not that I'm asking for you to send me off to my inevitable death or something. A happy medium. Would be nice."

Finally standing up straight Teagan crosses his arms in return, playfully glaring at her before responding. "I'm not sure I like your tone, Padawan." I love it.

Unable to keep up the facade he grins again and faces forward as the turbolift doors slide open. "To be fair, if it were up to me I'd Knight you right now," he says motioning for her to exit the lift first. "As far as I'm concerned this is just a formality we're being forced into."

"Then it's definitely too bad it's not up to you," she said, still smirking, even as she stepped out of the lift.

"Not that I mind too much. Once they Knight me, they might do all kinds of crazy things, like saddle me with ungrateful apprentices."

"Well for now you'll have to settle for being saddled with a ruggedly handsome master." He follows her out of the lift before setting off in the direction he intended, pausing for the split second it should take her to fall into step beside him.

"I'm serious, you know," he said as he glanced at her. "I know you're having some problems but I can't think of a better candidate for Knighthood. I'll do everything within my power to make everyone else realize that. SO long as you do the same."
