[Perhaps some unconscious part of her knew exactly where it was that she was going, what she was looking for. She'd been travelling for a while now, going by only a select few images and a name, searching for - well, she didn't know what she was looking for. Answers would be nice, some clue as to who she happened to be. What she happened to be.

But for now, at this very moment she was just Alice.

When she thought 'this looked familiar' she knew that whatever she'd seen when she'd woken up with naught but said name and hungry all those years ago, was in fact not only a dream. Not that she'd thought it was a dream in the first place, but this only seemed to drive the fact home. It was raining, water rolling down her face and hair, and for a minute she just observed. Control. Several people brushed by her but she barely spared them a second look. She'd learned a lot, in that matter of time. And besides, today it wasn't about them. She ignored, or perhaps simply didn't notice whatever looks she was receiving as she stood stock still in the middle of the downpour.

This was the place. That much she knew. The images she had seen in her head hadn't dulled with time and when the figure darted inside she felt a small smile tug on her lips. Yes, today was going to be a good day. Alice shook the droplets of water out of her hair as she pushed the door open and followed him inside a moment later.]

[He tried to avoid eye contact with anyone, as he steered his way directly to the barstools. He noticed, of course, a figure behind him, also approaching, but didn't think of anything of it -- at first.

But by the time he'd sat down, and the door opened, he noticed - now that the rain wasn't driving the scent away - that this was no human walking in behind him.

She was a vampire. Just like him. His eyes dashed that way and locked onto the petite figure, every muscle tensing.]
