[Another day, another delivery. This one's in gang territory - thanks for that, Normal. His great words of wisdom were 'don't wear any kind of handkerchief or something'. Because that was such a part of her usual style regimen.

Gang wars, however, were the least of her worries. Except that right now, she couldn't find the building she was looking for. Most of the numbers were falling off these apartment complexes, so she wheeled her bike slowly between them, trying to take a blind stab at where she was heading.

When she saw a guy walking along, she figured asking for directions couldn't help.]

Hey you!

[ Gunn hears movement behind him before he hears her voice and his hand instinctively moves to the back of his jeans where he's stashed a stake. Not always the best go-to weapon, but it's easy enough to slip out of his jeans and it's not like he's got a crossbow strapped to his back.

He turns slowly on his heel, attention sharp and focused. ]

Yeah?

[She can smell that the guy's super on-edge, but around here, that's not so surprisingly. She's still casual as she shouts out towards him:]

You from around here?

[ He wasn't expecting that question, so he pauses for a moment, trying to decide the best course of action. ]

I don't even know where the hell here is.

That's probably close to it.

You lost or somethin'?

[ Though he's still not sure how to feel about her, he drops his hand from the stake he had it wrapped around. ]

I think lost is putting it mildly, actually. You mind tellin' me the name of this place, or do I have to guess?

Well, we tend to go with 'Seattle', but y'know, some people have more catchy nicknames.

[A half grin] But I get the feelin' you're talkin' a little more small scale.

[ He stares at her for a while, completely dumbfounded before he looks around again. After a few long moments, his gaze settles on her face. ]

This ain't Seattle.
