>That feeling when you only notice an obvious fault on your tag after someone replies. fist_of_flamesAugust 22 2011, 05:51:52 UTC
[He stops eating for a short moment to think on something before placing a hand on top of her head to give her a small ruffle on her hair.]
Alright, if you want the bottom line of it all? Don't care about anything. And why do I say that is because that means if you do, then it's letting something affect you. Let me get into detail here. When I say that, I'm talking about like don't let what other people say get you down. People can say things and talk a lot of stuff, but words are only cheap. If you let cheap things bring you down, then that means you've let them win over you without putting up much of a fight. It's all about spirit and heart, you know? Standing up for yourself and don't let others push whatever garbage on you and label you as something. No no no.
Let's use this steak right here for example.
[He picks up a small shred of beef from the bowl and holds it with his sticks to show her.]
Now, I can call it a sorry sack of pork that wishes it could be chicken but instead it tastes like fish. The moment you put it in your mouth, it'll be like "No, screw that mess. I'm a beef and I'll show you that I'm beef and you will learn and respect that I'm a beef, so don't you forget it."
People and things will do what they can to bring them down, but you are your own person. You should do what you want to do and don't care about what others say about you or to you that you know is wrong... of course keep it all within reason when I say 'do what you want' and all that stuff. But you look like a smart girl, so I know I don't need to bother saying that. But anyway, just put a lot of confidence in yourself is the key thing. If someone has a problem with that then that's their problem that they'll learn how to accept it that you're you and nothings gonna make you change unless you wanna change at your own pace, not someone else's.
[Then he takes in a deep breath after saying all of that, takes a couple gulps from the glass of water and finally puts it back down for a refill.]
Now, I'm not gonna say that it's possible to keep on doing it like that. Hell, there's plenty of times that I've gone too hot-headed, depressed and all of that stuff because hey, we're still human. But I'm still going to keep on doing what I want to do and how I do things. Because that's how Kyo Kusanagi is Kyo Kusanagi and hopefully how you are you too. Think you get it?
[And he goes back into munching his food again and gives a smirk at Chie after she says that last part.]
Oh man, if you say it like that then how am I going to fool myself on thinking it's a date then? Oh well, I'm leaving it all up to you.
Ha ha, it's fine! And MAN I wish Kyo were in Chie's game, because that's hilariously adorable.f_steakAugust 22 2011, 06:20:11 UTC
[Chie blinks in surprise, squinting her eyes shut when he ruffles her hair. When he removes his hand, she's got a doofy smile on her face. If he didn't have her full attention before, he's definitely got it now. She listens raptly, not only because he's a charismatic speaker, but because he says it in a way that she can understand. A talking piece of beef shouldn't be so easy to relate to, but there's no way in hell she'll EVER be able to erase that example from her head. She giggles, unable to help herself, and watches him with open admiration and fascination until he finishes.]
I got it. [She grins.] Then the first step I need to take is making sure I'm a beef. ...Er, well, you know what I mean.
[He's better at the examples than she is. But she figures she needs to find out who she is, not just what she wishes she could be. She's got a long way to go, but she feels as if she's moving on the right path now after hearing him.]
Thanks, Kyo. I think that's exactly what I needed to hear.
[She tucks into her meal with a hearty appetite as well...and almost chokes when he casually drops the 'd' word.]
A...a date? With me?
[Chie looks around as she sits up, as though to make sure he wasn't addressing someone else instead.]
Are you serious?
[Because her eyes are starting to light up like whoa.]
Ha ha, it was. I was trying to think of something that would be fitting. ;w;fist_of_flamesAugust 22 2011, 06:44:11 UTC
Sounds like you've got the picture. Good enough for me.
[He leans onto his hand as he returns into his meal. Well, not often he gets to be the source of motivation for anyone or anything... well, except for his personal 'student' or Yagami but that's another story. So seeing her like this does make him feel pretty dang proud-- well, until she made the reaction of him saying date. Then pride turned into amusement.]
Yeah, that's right. Unless you think I'm going to fast for ya? Otherwise, I don't want to rush it on you if you're not up to it.
It was beautiful. Let me know if I can ever enable you!f_steakAugust 22 2011, 06:52:51 UTC
[Chie's head is practically a blur as she shakes it rapidly.]
It's not that! I just...I mean, geez, you've got your pick of girls in all of Japan, and probably several other parts of the world too! It just blows my mind that you'd come all the way out here for a date with me of all people.
[And she's ridiculously happy that he did.]
It's really flattering! I just hope I meet your expectations, you know?
Oh feel free. I'll only promise to take a look at places though. |D;;fist_of_flamesAugust 22 2011, 07:50:28 UTC
Good! So it's a date then. And don't worry about all of that stuff. You and I are just going to go out and have some fun together, got it? Remember... you're a beef.
[He taps her nose playfully with his chopsticks and then sets them down after finishing his own meal.]
Welp! I think I'm satisfied for a good while. Should probably do something to walk all of this off somehow. Anyway, ready when you are.
I'm a beef. ...I don't think I can say that with a straight face.
[She just can't stop grinning period. This is like some sort of crazy, awesome dream. Kyo asked HER on a date! She can die happy now. ...But she'd rather it happen after the date, if at all. She, too, polishes off her meal with gusto and rises to her feet to dispose of her trash in the specified containers.]
So where do you want to go first? If you're into scenery, the walk along the floodplain is nice, you get a great view of the Samegawa River. There's the shopping district here, which has all kinds of neat little stores, the Junes department store, um...
