I hate winter. I hate gray skies, cold, rain, mud.
One thing that keeps my spirits up during the winter is the thought of blue sky, hot days, and dry ground. I think of swimming in the lakes. Enjoying my plants out on my balcony. Even walking to work along the river. Perhaps a gentle breeze in the evening, when you're outside somewhere, cooling down your hot skin from a day in the sun...
Laimika had the heating on three weeks ago. In JULY! It's been cold and grey out there most of the time since then. It's raining almost CONSTANTLY throughout the days. A couple of days ago it was 12C in the morning. Last year, in October or November - I can't really remember - I decided to put on my leather jacket when it dropped below 15. It was 14 today - again - and I'm wearing pretty much the same clothing on my way to work as I do throughout most of the winter.
I spent ONE DAY on my balcony so far this year - and that was a beautiful day indeed!
If the summer doesn't come soon, I'll go to pieces. I'm having a really hard time motivating myself. And I'm afraid, if winter comes this year without it having been warm at least three weeks in a row (And summer really needs to hurry if that's to happen...) I'm going to go out of my mind.
