Its hot here (and I bet none of you really want to hear me complain about that)

We've been spending our times in increasingly tropical climes, seeing some very very nice beeches and islands along the way. I finished my dive training in Koh Tao, seeing some very cool things underwater. The highlight of the dives I think has to be from the last one when we saw a moray eel under a big rock. It was however the hardest of the dives - that day had really strong currents I had to fight against for much of it. Surprisingly difficult to swim into the current and make sure that you're aren't in any danger of hitting any of the corals.

So once the dive Training was over it was off to Krabi, two boats and a bus journey (or a days travel) away. Two awesome sites along the way - approaching the Thai mainland with beautiful turquoise seas and storm covered distant mountains was amazing as was the sunset we would get later from the bus.

Krabi is a very quiet town (disturbingly so) but with very nice limestone karst scenery around it. The town itself doesn't really have much to offer other than the best traffic lights ever - being held up by cavemen. Went out to some very nice little islands and milled around on beeches for a day though, which surprisingly, like the east of Thailand, are really good tropical paradise type places.

We've left the beech behind for a bit though and currently in Penang just over the border into Malaysia. Yet again crossing the border seemed mostly to be a formality - I don't know that I've seen a border guard yet that really cares. China spent some time eyeing me and my passport, up and down, up and down, before stamping it like the rest. Every time I expect something to go wrong and it never does.

As for Malaysia so far, well it seems nice enough. Penang is a real culture mix of India, South east asia and china all muddled up. The one striking thing so far though is that visiting a predominantly Muslim country during Ramadan may not have been the best idea - have a feeling we may have a few days of limitted food later on.

Anyway thats whats been happenin of late - in a nut shell I be millin around the tropics. Movin on soon to the other side of Malaysia, but for a few more days here before we do.
