Watch(ed): Some cycling, rowing if it's on/if it's within walking distance, horseback riding events (dressage, show jumping, eventing), football.
I played soccer when I was 7-9 years old. I played basketball during 8th grade. I've been horseback riding since I was about 7. I rowed during my freshman and half of my sophomore year of college.
I started watching cycling in 2005. I started watching when I started participating in the sport, so around 2004. I've been watching horseback riding events as long as I've been active in the sport. And I've been watching football for as long as I can remember.
I'd like to get into cyclocross and road racing (bikes), but I can't afford the necessary bicycle(s). Any other sports I wanted to play when I was younger - it was usually my weight and out-of-shapeness that kept me from doing it.
Sports like horseback riding and rowing were difficult to participate in because of their cost and specialized equipment/location. Otherwise, it's difficult to watch them because they're not exactly popular in the U.S. The same goes for cycling - it's hard to find it on TV and not popular enough in the U.S. to see live. Basketball and soccer were really easy to be involved with.
you rock. so about that getting together deal... im a tool and my only free time is literally friday after 5pm. wait, no, not this week, not till sat. weekend?
i'm going home this weekend, and i'll be scrambling to finish a paper early next week. maybe the weekend of the 16th?
