granada

Went on a mad shopping spree in sevilla on thursday. Bought a lot of stuff, and spent a bomb. Friday morning we caught an early train to granada which is on the other side of the country and 3 hours by a medium to high speed train. It´s an absolutely gorgeous city on a hill, with really narrow cobblestone roads descending up. At the top is the Alhambra a beautiful Islamic palace-city with it´s own fortress and stuff. It´s breathtaking. Walked upto the gypsy caves in Sacromonte too. Took a walk in the Albayzin which still retains its old Islamic buildings. Went to a flamenco performance inside a gitano cueva (gypsy cave), which was much better than the act we saw in Sevilla. Also met Jose Fernandes, a gypsy friend of my uncle, which was a great experience cos he´s crazy lol. Really didn´t want to leave to come back to sevilla in the afternoon; but the good thing was today was the day all watches were set back by an hour for the whole daylight savings thing, so we got a whole extra hour out of nowhere to spend in granada. Tomorrow morning we fly out of sevilla and reach paris. Day after we fly out of paris and come back to bombay.

See you all then :-)

(WAAH DON´T WANT TO LEAVE!!!)
