Anthropology topic coming up...extremely boring, just musing so i would suggest that if you are not interested in ubiquitous questions of the nature of man, skip the entry...

It seems like man has an obsession with the metaphysical, specifically with the dead. Now this statement seems obvious...religions argue about it as one of it's base principles; what happens to you after you die? I guess what made me realize this is watching Peheli and just now watching Just Like Heaven. People seem to have an interest in the dead, in the spirits, so much so that it now transends physical boundaries and leads to love. How did this come about? has man become so unwilling to face the concept of complete death that he must spin this chimerical stories of the dead returning miraculously to life? It is a product of the ever-increasing lifespane of the average man? Or is it simply man trying to seak out more miracles in an age of pessimism, war, and politics? Just some thoughts i needed to get down before i forgot them.
