House
I signed the papers yesterday and, barring any last minute disasters (and I always expect last minute disasters), I should be able to pick up the key to my house tomorrow. That's right, I bought a house. The burst housing bubble sucks for people who already own a house, but it's the only thing that made housing affordable for me to buy. Plus, I got a low interest rate of 4.375%. So, I will probably be a homeowner tomorrow.
According to the very detailed inspection, the house is in sound shape. It's two bedrooms, two bathrooms. It has a wood burning stove. And importantly considering the apartment I'm currently living in, it has washer/dryer hookups and a dishwasher.
