I'm curious about this one, but I've seen about one episode of Buffy. Do you think I would enjoy it anyway?

Absolutely, yes, assuming you can handle a very low-key hint of the supernatural. Oz is a young man who is also a werewolf. And a very cool guy, thoughtful and quiet, low-key, rather like Duck. That's really all you need to know. Just go with it, and I believe you'll love the story. A lot.
