Hope, change, knowing the country will at least be taking steps in the right directions instead of going backwards.
Yay Obama! I went up to NH yesterday to campaign for Obama, and an older woman who was a McCain supporter said to me 'well it doesn't really matter to you who wins, you're young, it won't make a difference in your life.' and I couldn't believe ignorance in the statement. It matters the most to us, being young. it will effect today's young people, the children, and their children the most. it's why i went to campaign even though I can't vote, especialy since I can't vote, to try and make a difference somehow to have my voice heard.
And I don't know if I'll ever live here beyond the next eight months, but america is a world power and it affects all developed nations one way or another. and just because i don't live here doesn't mean i dont' want the country to be the best it can, especially should me or my children ever wish to live here. america needs change, and i hope it gets it.
I've been soo busy with school, and applying to universities and scholarships and afterschool programs and my gold award and so on. And I dislike the ocean more than ever, but I know it'll all be better soon. My computer crashed so I rarely get online and when I do it's usually for college stuff.
I try my best
Until next time
Congrats president Obama
