On my drive to gaming tonight, I noticed something I haven't really seen in quite some time: the moon.
Now, I'm pretty sure it's been up there for a good chunk of time, perhaps even a few dozen years. I mean, I don't ever remember looking for it and not seing it within a few days. But I haven't actually gazed up at the moon for a good two months it seems. Sure this might not seem too odd to some, but I'm the kind of guy who can glance up and tell you if the moon is waxing or waning. Usually, I can even tell you what you'll see before you look up. Not tonight. I was a bit surprised to see the moon waxing, when i last remembered a waxing half-moon (which, if science hasn't changed this month, would have been about 3 weeks ago).
How can I have let the sky slip away for so long? I don't even want to think of the last time I saw a shooting star (it was late spring, actually, from my back yard).
