"The Hills are Alive..."
Going to Switzerland!!
My grandmother heard from her friend in Luzern (or Lucerne, depending on who you ask), who has welcomed us to stay with them!
So thus far our trip looks something like this:
July 26 - Leave Indianapolis
July 27 - Arrive Birmingham & crash with friends in Leicester. Desperately attempt to stave off jet lag.
July 27-August 1 - Whirlwind tour of England.
August 1/2 - Fly to...I forget where, in the vicinity of Luzern (I think it's in Germany), and take a train to Luzern.
August -2-4 - Switzerland. I climb an Alp or two even if it kills me.
August 3/4 - Train (possible night train) from Luzern to Paris, check in to hotel & drag gramma around city.
August 4-7 - Paris!
August 7/8 - Back to England (I want to fly, but I think gramma wants to train/ferry/train it...I will probably give in)
August 9 - Fly home :(
So apparently we'll only need a hotel in Paris (which I've already arranged) and London--which isn't bad. That's maybe 5 nights of our 2 week vacation! LOTS of money saved! :) So excited I could scream!
