yeah, i'm still alive
just incredibly busy. seattle is cool, work is very busy (i've thus far applied for 5 fellowships...already gotten two rejections - am planning on applying for at least 2 more and hopefully SOMEONE, SOMEWHERE will want to give me money)

went back to NC to "officially" become a PhD -- it was really cool and I'm glad that I did it :) (seeing how, you know, i'm really unlikely to get another PhD and thus won't have the chance to be hooded again)
i do check in here about once a week, and read up on the people on my friends list - but i'm sorry that i don't comment so much lately... hopefully you're all having a wonderful saturday, though :)
