So I've been in Washington, DC for a conference with
Campus Progress, the group that sponsors the Trojan Horse.
It was a pretty cool conference, and I endured a lot of travel, walking, sleep deprivation, partying and a Bill Clinton speech. My head is really tired and I want to sleep, but my roommates won't shut up.
I saw the White House every day walking past it, saw the Washington Monument, a WWI memorial, the Treasury, Commerce and Interior Departments, and lots of other administration buildings.
I've stayed in a dorm at George Washington University, and right out my window is the World Bank building! I can see into the offices.
The other people here are all feisty lefties, which is really cool, especially after being trapped at home with Republicans. Washington, DC is a nifty city, too. The subway runs very efficiently and is always packed.
I've got some cool stories, and I'm sorry to go home, back to my crappy job. I'm ready to go back to school, just about.
