When I got out of the National Honors Society induction ceremony tonight, it was yellow outside. The air was yellow.
I really like the Wilco album "Summerteeth."
My piano lesson was kind of funny today. I told Liz that I was having some fingering problems with the first movement of the Tempest sonata (Op.31, No.2). And she looked at my score, and realized that the fingerings that were written in were completely illogical, and spent tons of time fixing them. Actually, for the majority of the lesson, she was writing in different fingering. And THEN she realized that the person who wrote in the fingerings in the published score was Murray Perahia, who is like Liz's hero. He's an absolutely brilliant concert pianist. I think she lost some respect for him because his fingering for the Tempest sonata was so weird. At least now part of the sonata is practiceable.
And now, another attempt to do more of my homework.
