This is one of Burton's best, if not the the best. It's a simple tale, but that adds to its fairy tale quality. The performances, like the visual design are nicely stylized. I love the way in which the film lampoons the suburbs. Plus, there's nothing better than Winona Ryder in a horrible blond wig.

wasnt this movie panned by critics when it first came out? (I have always liked it!) and now it is almost a classic! I love it! I used to pretend that I had scissors on my hands when I cut the grass .... wait I still do!

That is the same poster that is hanging in the movie theater I go to!
