"Hello all.
Sorry for the group email but I have a large number of people to correspond to today. I wish I could have spoken to each of you in person but the reality of the situation made it impossible.
I am emailing you to let you know that I have accepted a tenure track job at Winthrop University as an assistant professor of theatre. I am going to be teaching theatre courses to those students interested in becoming theatre teachers themselves. I also will be directing, choreographing and teaching other courses as per the needs of the department (acting, musical theatre, etc).
This is exciting but bittersweet news. I am excited about our move to the Charlotte, North Carolina area (the university is located in Rock Hill, South Carolina which is twenty minutes south of Charlotte) but I will certainly miss all of the students, community members and parents that I love so dearly. Susan, Hannah, Rebecca, Doron and I are so grateful for the love and support you all have shown us over the years. It is quite difficult news to give and still harder for you to digest.
It is important to think about the future. It is my sincere hope to work together to find someone to take the Pentucket Theatre Department in a new and exciting direction. If anyone is interested in being a part of the process to help find a new teacher for the department, we need parents and students to assist with this. Please let Ellen Hart know at hart@prsd.org.
If you have questions, etc. please email me or come talk to me in person if you can. If you know someone who should get this email and didn't, please let me know and I will forward it on to them. Thanks for your understanding. There is no good way to share this information without it coming as a shock to people. Using email was not my first choice but with many so far away and with busy schedules, this turned out to be the most efficient route, but not the most sensitive one.

Wow. I'm uh... wow. That's absolutely wonderful for him, I'm so happy he found something more suited to what he's looking for at this point in his career, but... wow. I would be so upset if I was still there, Mr. G was a guiding force for most of high school for me, & I know for pretty much everyone else heavily involved. Yowza.
I'm uh, in a show on Saturday night? A night of one acts / monologues, kind of cabaret-ish but not really. It's $15 which blows BUT it's totally a fundraiser for Ghostlight Productions, they're located in Salem, NH & they're trying to get up off their feet a little more. So if you're interested, let me know.
