because my critical essay is going to pieces on account of the fact that I cannot write any kind of cohesive, coherent thesis statement/outline, wait, before that, I have no ideas to work with, so I cannot write a single thing.

How can I claim to be a literature student when I take a week to come up with no ideas at all???
