a little mental yoga
alrighty then. so i'm headed back to school tomorrow after just a week of summer vacation. meh. i've had fun.
it's really nice being back with my family. they've all been really easy-going with me and just happy to have me around. it's cool.
let's see. done with school...finished with two As (chem and anth) and a B in chem. the only reason i got the B was b/c i fucking hated that class and didn't ever 1) go and 2) try. so naturally i didn't do as well. but now i've decided i'd rather work hard in a class i hate than say i've gotten 2 As and 1 B instead of 3 As. my gpa has sunk from a 4.0 to a 3.9. grr. the good news is that i'm currently a second-semester sophomore. yay.
and i got the schedule for fall that i wanted! here: ballet, bio lab, honors bio class, contemporary moral problems, family relationships, and an honors program called women in natural sciences. there's only 44 ppl in it out of the entire department. it was a huge compliment to be invited to join. i'm flattered.
me and matt went to the dmb concert. it was unbelievable. yay!
what else? basically i've just been lounging around, doing tons of reading--PLEASE read "running with scissors"...it's unbelievable--and hanging out with dance buddies and, of course, with matt. la!
not much else has happened. it's been fairly lazy. lots of olympics. i think it's funny that the UT homepage has a link that says "check out the longhorn roster in the olympics." i dunno. just found that amusing.
i have to go pick up my virus-chewed computer later tonite. it should be vaccinated now. good.
and tomorrow i have a dermatologist appt to lance that growth (is it an oil sac? a wart? a tumor? a mole? nobody knows!) behind my ear. good.
and i'm gonna buy a new leotard for my dance class, too. i need one to boost my confidence. i haven't danced all summer--it's gonna be a bitch. even better.
