Today (uh, aka "yesterday") was also a day of rediscovering games. On the one hand, this is a sign I have pent-up energy which I should perhaps be harnessing in some more meaningful way. On the other hand, all things are Buddha things & that.
SotN: I still have muscle memories for this game after not having played it extensively for well over five years. On the other hand, those memories have weakened. So the last few years are still not wiping away my prior self completely... just somewhat. This I can work with. Meanwhile, the game is a phenomenon.
Skyrim: Am wondering whether I dislike this game's storytelling, or just that I dislike that it's not MY storytelling. Probably a bit of both. Probably also some kind of instinctive anti-western sentiment in my taste in stories, which is pretty much outmoded & modish at the same time. Relative to the previous game it feels like it was constructed according to a procedure rather than chasing a spark. Wonder if that's in any way true.
In conclusion, I should find my bed so I will. That's even though my physiology is apparently trying to be in two timezones at the same time. Chamomile tea really is a godsend. [aheh, it's actually a herb]
