Okay, okay, so I know a lot of you have been wondering, "What the FUCK has Cat been up to all summer?!?" This is a very good question, kids. You see, a lot has gone down since the end of the regular school year, so I figured I should let you all in on my adventures and escapades.

The last so many weeks of school and the beginning so many weeks of the summer were spent partying it up and celebrating and making out with some handsome fellas. My birthday happened and I turned the big 2-0. Then I went back home for a couple weeks and chilled there with the fam and the old gang. I decided to take Laura back with me to The Cities, where we lived in Greg's boiling hot house, moved me into my room at ATO, went disc golfing, celebrated TheEricBlake's birthday, got my left nostril pierced, visited a very cute and preggers Bridgie, and just plain hung out and partied. After that week of goodness came to a close me, Laura, Greg, Dave, and Macy roadtripped it back to Racine for some good ol' times. Greg and Dave were introduced to most of the gang and got acquainted with the wonderfulness that is Racine, Wisconsin. Bonfires and beer were plentiful. Me, Greg, Dave, and Macy drove back to Minneapolis after so long. I got settled, started school, and began my journey of motherhood with my dog (Macy). After all that, the summer screw here in Minneapolis was established, and they are as follows: Me, Greg, Dave, Vegdahl, Lauren, Gramse, with special appearances by Biss, Robby, Berko, Dan k4 (I know I'm forgetting some important ones but bare with me here), some of the occasionals like Chris Clausen and Nick SomethingOrOther and some other crazy kids. The summer has been filled with bonfires at Vegdahl's, a trip to Gramse's cabin, drinking and partying, hangovers, more disc golfing, Greg's house, walking my dog, drunken trips to the casino (where I never fail at winning at The Price Is Right.. the price most definitely is right), the drive-in, an extremely unfortunate makeout incident that shall never be spoken of EVER again, sleep overs, poker nights, coffee at Espresso Royale, drooling over the mohawked Dinkytown street performer, some confrontation, driving around the area and getting to know it, a great many trips to Bloomington, befriending strangers, jamming with Greg (me on the harmonica, Greg on the gee-tar), hanging with my favorite Jenessa, Lake Calhoun, and the list just goes on from there. Then Greg and I made the trip down to Racine for the 4th of July, where we consumed massive amounts of coffee and cigarettes at Webb's, saw Tom in the first time in a great while, had more bonfires, drank more beer, went shopping, had lunch with my dad, met my mum's boyfriend, played drunken telephone (best game ever, by the way), had a mini-wap party at Trash's, watched the parade and the fireworks, got tan, swam, went to SummerFest to see Lynyrd Skynyrd, and did some other things. After being there for about five glorious days, we departed for The Cities once again. We did leave Macy at my home though, until I have a bigger place to live. Since then, the summer has been filled with more of the stuff that was mentioned before and then some!, except we now had the addition of Miss Julie. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention, school was still going on and will continue to go on until the first week in August is over and done with. It's been a lot. I do wayyyyy too much homework, reading, and studying. I've also been hunting for jobs and fighting for money (because I'm pretty much a poor, homeless, bum). I've taken on leisure reading too, which I love because I don't get to do that much during the regular school year so it's nice to do when I can. I love leisure reading. I should also mention that I was in some sort of weird funk for about a month (and then there was last weekend which was just 100% bad luck for me all around town) and today I finally snapped out of it, and it was just a really really great mood. Needless to say, I'm back to being the happy-go-lucky, perky, easily-exciteable, in love with the world and everyone and everything in it, dreamer, lover, hippy, smiley&giggly, cute, wild, spontaneous, chill, laid-back, free-spirited, dancey, energetic, sarcastic, confidence-filled, unicorns, glitter, rainbows, and pink fuzzy things Ca(i)t(lin) that we all know and adore and love to pieces! Glad to be back :)

In the past week or so, I've decided to switch my major to marketing (which might and probably will mean switching colleges at the end of the 2006-2007 school year) in order to fulfill my dream of one day owning my own shop (yesssssss!). This will probably mean some or an additional year(s) of schooling, since I pretty much only have the math credits and gen. eds. for that kind of major. Also, I plan to study abroad in Italy for the Spring '07 semester (sweet ass! hot damn! i rock! .. a lot). Big life choices, I know. :) But that's just how I roll ;)

On another note, I have officially begun Greg and my hunt for housing! I started today and we already have three tours scheduled for this weekend and I am expecting quite a few calls back from places I had to leave messages. So.. more tours to come! Aaaaand.. I'm still looking for a job :) Eeeee!

Next week: Bio Midterm ..2, Big Lab Quiz ..2 (same day, right after the test), Brand New concert!!!! with Kate!!!!!, Kate's birthday :), Bio Lab Research Paper, all followed by a weekend at Julie's cabin-like place where we will be ATVing (something I've never done before). It's going to be a busy week, to say the least..

And then there's that whole contract thing with my dad for my finances and funds from him.. it's really quite strange.. don't ask.

Well, lovers, this is where I depart for now. Now be sure to tune into FX at 9pm tomorrow night for It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia ;) because that show's just hilarious! The summer's passing really quickly this year and I still have a bunch of people I still need to hang out with, I still need to find a job and a place to live, I need to consume more coffee, attend more concerts, practice my harmonica some more, more roadtrips to make, birthdays to celebrate, finals to take, more tanning to do before it's too late, and all out relaxing, having fun, and enjoying the rest of my summer (especially after my summer school comes to an end). I hope you're all enjoying yourselves and that you continue to do so. Oh, and by the way, The Great Hunt '06 still continues ;) I just have a good feeling about life and everything in it at this point, so I'm damn sure wonderful things are to come..

Love.

P.s. Cheers to anyone who actually took the time out of their day (or night) to read this entire blog entry. No lying though. Lying is bad for you ;)

love.
