Ginny Weasley sat next to Harry Potter at the round table on the side of the dance floor. The couples twirled, danced, and laughed, as Ginny and her "date" sat in silence. More than anything Ginny just didn't want to be there. Well, she wanted to be there, on the dance floor, but not with him. She loved Harry. She really did love Harry, but she wasn't in love with him. Wasn't that just the typical female response? She sighed, trying to steer her thoughts away from that unhappy subject.

Harry shifted in his seat next to her, so he was staring at her. Ginny didn't know why, but she began to feel uneasy. "Ginny," Harry said softly, "do you want to dance?" His hand went out to take hers off the table, but she quickly pulled it out of reach.

She sighed. Nothing was ever easy. "Harry," she said trying to hold on to what patience she had left. "I don't want to dance. Well, I do want to dance --" she saw the pleasant surprise in his face when he thought she was talking about dancing with him "-- but not with you."

Her last few words seemed to crush him. His hand dropped unceremoniously, his eyes fell from her face, his shoulders actually began to sag, his smile flipped into a frown. "Oh," he whispered.

"Sorry, Harry," Ginny started, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder. Without a word, he shrugged her hand off, turning his body completely from her. "Harry, I don't mean to hurt you. I just... We said we were coming as friends. Just friends. Harry, you're like my brother."

She had meant it as a compliment, but being called her brother seemed to anger Harry. "Like your brother? Ginny, I don't want to be a brother to you; I want to be more. So much more.." The anger quickly faded, and he looked even more crushed than before. "Who do you want to dance with?" he asked sulkily.

Ginny didn't respond, but her eyes scanned the dance floor. Sighing, she said, "He's not even here." She sighed and leaned back in her chair.

"Oh, great," Harry said. He continued to stare at her, as if he was trying to read her.

Suddenly, the dancing couples stopped dancing, the muscians stopped playing, and everyone parted. Everyone on the dance floor was staring at the enterance. The people sitting at the table followed their stares and Ginny gasped.

"What is he doing here?" Harry said angerily, "He wasn't invited to Bill and Fleur's wedding."

Ginny grinned. "Yes, he was," she answered him. "Bill invited him." As she started to get up, to leave Harry alone at the table, she finished her confession. "After I asked him to."

She didn't even glance back at Harry as she hurried over to where he stood, as if waiting for her. He was waiting for her, she realized. As she near closer her breath caught. He was such a sight. He looked like a dark gallant knight in his black suit, but with his blond hair a bit too long in his face, not slick back as it normally is. His face was unreadable, but when he met her eyes, he broke into a slow, genuine smile. He didn't smirk at her.

She grinned at him once she reached him. "I'm so glad you came," she said, giving him a very short, but heart felt hug.

He hugged her back, whispering, "I am too."

Without another word, or any word of explantion to the unconfused onlookers, he took her hand. "Would you like the dance?" he asked.

She nodded, smiling. "I thought you'd never ask."

With one move of his hand, the band began to play again. He held so much power, even in a place where most still thought he was unwelcome. Gracefully, the two danced. Slowly, as if coming out of a trance, the rest of the wedding guests began to dance around them as well, but neither of them noticed. They were lost in their own world.

Harry sat at the table she had left him, angry and confused. Bill Wealsey left his new wife for a moment to come over to Harry. "Sorry, mate," he said geniunely. "You knew she wasn't in love with you. And you agreed to come as friends. Who knew Draco Malfoy would actually show up to a Weasley wedding?"

Harry knew Bill was trying to be nice, comforting, and with that in mind said, "Who the hell knew he'd actually dance with Ginny?" Forcing a laugh, Harry went in search of someone else to dance with. He kept his eyes away from the couple even though they seemed to be in the middle of the dance floor and the other couples leaving a wide circle of room around them. They didn't want to get too close to him.

Hermione Granger tapped Ginny on the shoulder, "do you realize you just hurt Harry?"

Ginny moved her head from Draco's shoulder and said, "I never meant to. You, him, everyone knews it. Everyone knows I have been dating someone else."

Hermione nodded, "But Draco Malfoy?"

Ginny grinned and nodded, enjoying the feel of being his arms. "Draco Malfoy."

With no wordsto Hermione, Draco pulled Ginny gracefully away. He kissed her forehead and didn't say a word. No words were needed. He had come and to Ginny, that meant he loved her.

"Sorry you hurt Potter," Draco said smuggly.

Ginny laughed, even liking Draco as an arrogant git. "Well, I didn't mean to. And anyway, who would have known that you would have come?"

Draco smirked down at her. "And pass up a chance to give you a reason to betray Potter?"

Ginny stared hard at him. Her smile fell from her face. "Is that the only reaso you came?" she whispered softly to his chest, so she didn't have to look in his piercing grey eyes.

He tightened his hold around her. "No, just a fridge benefit. I came so I could do this in from of everyone."

Before she could ask do what, his mouth gently came over hers. There was nothing left to say.
