About a week ago, the department I'm currently interning at had a mini book give-away session, because the books they were looking to clear were apparently so old that even the National Library didn't want them, and they would be thrown away if the interns didn't want them. So we dug through the stacks of books on the trolley, and I chanced upon the Oxford Dictionary of English Proverbs.
The (gigantic) Oxford Dictionary of English Proverbs: it measures 24cm by 16cm by 4.5cm!
Initially I wasn't interested the dictionary, but then I flipped through it briefly and chanced upon gems like "money is round and it rolls away" and "one foot is better than two crutches". Faced with such brilliance, how could I not bring it home with me? :D
If a man without any money isn't a man, does that make him a woman? :3
