Maible greeted Amorisa with a shy smile and a wave. She shouldn't be shy around the girl after two years of the same classes, but Maible found it hard to let down her guard around anyone. Besides, Amorisa's boyfriend was kind of creepy and Maible had to wonder what kind of girl would date a guy like him.

Then again, she thought, Amorisa at least HAD a boyfriend. It was more than she expected she would ever have. Boys just didn't date girls like her.

"Hey, Amorisa," she greeted, pushing those thoughts out of her mind for now. "Hogsmeade coming up soon, isn't it? I assume you'll be going with Adrian?"

"Well yes, I will," she said with a small smile. She wasnt blind, her friends weren't excatly fond of her elitist boyfriend. Sometimes she wondered why Adrian even bothered to date her, but then again, he was, and she adored him...soo..

"I apologize for his..behavior Mabe, I really thought he'd be more friendly. I would of never even introduced you otherwise. Its just...he's very anti-social and well...I'm sure his..." Amorisa really wanted to say 'prick of a father' but thought better of it "his...father has shoved crap down his throat his whole life. I am so, so sorry. In private he really can be quite sweet..." It wasn't that Adrian had been mean, he had just been distant, aloof. "We are still friends right?"

"I am quite excited about Hogsmeade though, the excitement that we get to travel outside the school for a full day and have fun, its just...so exciting!"

Maible shook her head. Honestly, she didn't care so much about Adrian being so dismissive toward her. It was what she expected from most people. It wasn't as though she was anything extraordinary, after all.

"No.. it's not your fault, 'Risa," she smiled. "I still think you could do better, but, hey, at least you have a boyfriend, right?"

She blinked and nodded her head at the girl's question. "Of course we're still friends!" she said rather emphatically.

She'd just have to find someone else to hang around with at Hogsmeade if Amorisa was going to be busy with that boy of hers. Maybe some of the other third years, or maybe she'd go on her own.

Everyone thought that she could do better, but they didn't see his utterly kind moments. Someday they would, and then they would understand.

"You'll get a boyfriend too Mabe, you are utterly cute, besides a lot of the boys here are boring anyways, and a lot of the more interesting ones are too old for us, but you'll get a boyfriend you are sweet and funny and kind." She smiled and hugged her friend.

"I wont be meeting Adrian until later in the day in Hogsmeade, so all of us Thrid years should go together. Maybe get some lunch at the Hogs Head, go candy shopping and then go check out the Shrieking Shack." She grinned, "want to?"

Maible shook her head, ducking her head and blushing at her yearmate's compliments. "Oh, no.. you're sweet.. but a little crazy." She knew Amorisa was just being nice, but she appreciated it all the same. She shook her head again and returned the girl's hug.

"Oh.. that sounds lovely," she nodded at Amorisa's suggestion. "The Hog's Head, though? I've heard that place is kind of.. icky. The Three Broomsticks is supposed to be much nicer."

"You'll get a boy in time." She declared wisely, giving the girl a fond wink. "You'll see."

"Ah yes, The Three Broomsticks, thats what I meant," Amorisa said with a smile. "Either way we will have some fun."

"Whatever you say, buddy," Maible said with a laugh. She didn't really believe her friend, but there was no sense arguing it.

She nodded and grinned. "It'll be great!"

"Indeed," she grinned and leaned against the wall, smiling at her friend. "You doing okay in all your classes Mabe? You dont need any help do ya?"

Maible shook her head.

"No, I'm doing well enough, I think." She shrugged lightly. She wasn't actually sure just what her marks were like right now, but it felt like she was doing alright and she wasn't really worried.
