Age and death
Cheery title, what? Got a call from an old friend who is taking advantage of Oregon's Death with Dignity law and will die on Wednesday, November 5. He is dying of liver and heart failure and has two months at the most and wants to go with his dignity and his mind intact. I started to tell my husband about the call and he started having a snit about his baking error and you know what I thought. Ahem.
Said good-bye and agreed if there is an afterlife, he and my Mom will be having a great time catching up. I don't believe there is but it is a nice thought. The friend is six months older than my husband, who turned 71 in two weeks.
