Magritte and finally his museum

It took some time but now it's there with 200 of his works. The amazing thing about Magritte is, that he has so many masterpieces in a nevertheless difficult style, surrealism. Each time I'm baffled about how these works can affect you and that despite their mysteriousness looks so familiar. I understand so easily the things you don't understand in his works. One of the first works I saw on a calendar was called 'personal values' and I immediately was won for the surrealistic way of thinking and I began to look for other works by him and I was always pleasantly surprised with the original images he was able to create.

This will be a museum in Brussels that I will visit a lot and although the flemish primitives are my favorite group of painters, with Jan Van Eyck as the master of the masters, I keep a special place for Magritte whom I consider one of the most important painters of the 20th century.
