Yeah, yeah I've been a lazy bum cuz I haven't written in here for a long time. Life's been busy. People to see, things to do.
So last month I went out to California to see Chris & Josh. It was awesome. Swimming, kayaking, getting burnt by the sun, hiking in Yosemite, hanging out, fighting at Amtgard, watching movies, aquarium, driving down the coast, and indoor rock climbing. Those two wore me out. I'm ready to go back again... I think I've caught my breath.
Chris' parents cabin was beautiful and it was wonderful to relax out there. Yosemite was purely amazing for the grandness and I hardly saw any of the park. The visitors area was such a small fraction of the park. But we made 1.5 mile hike (one-way) with 0.5 being at a 45 degree climb. The view from the top was gorgeous.
Amtgard, movies & just hanging out while they might see old hat to some people... I was doing this with two really great people whom I get to see maybe once a year. Loved it. Then they decided to take me rock climbing. Truth be told I have a fear of heights. They tried distracting me with an attractive woman who strapped me in and tied me up... but I was still rattled. I managed a climb and felt pretty good about it. Never looked down though. I really would have gone again but after being active (off the couch) for the last three days my body was tired. I just didn't have it in me to try again. Like them, I hate to not make my objectives.
What about the woman? Ah, yes. Mistress Sally (as I was soon calling her). Sally manages a rock climbing gym where Chris & Josh go. Sally also fights SCA where they met her. She helped me into my harness, showed me how to tie the ropes and then taught me how to belay (sp?). Somewhere in all the instruction and replied "Yes mistress Sally" and it was at that point I realized I wanted to be her submissive. Secret #2 I'm not into S&M but I probably would have done almost anything for her at that point. Yes I was still tied up.
The aquariam required a drive down the coast to Monteray and we did that the day of my flight out. It was a nice relaxing way to end the trip. It was hard to leave.
Now we get to the backwash. For a little over two weeks I kinda shut down cuz I was overwhelmed. I had so much fun, messed up my eating, sleeping schedules, and then came back to hell at work. My body revolted and went through all kinds of crazy thoughts in my head. It was more mental than physical. Better now.
Current: work is still oppresive and hadn't quite caught up, Cory starts 1st grade soon, played some Blood bowl, Clif & Sarah had their birthdays this week, and life is returning to normal
