I have a problem, yes I admit it. I'm a gaming geek. HFS & Amtgard were my foray into the LARP world but my RP needs weren't being full-filled. And since starting this job I've found two gaming groups that meet during the week. Infrequently we've played MERP (middle earth) and most recently 3rd ed. DnD. Still not enough.
My latest passion has been Blood Bowl. Warhammer fantasy miniatures squaring off in a game of football, smashing, killing, and driving our way to victory. Somehow I got stuck on smashing & killing and ended up close to last in the league. Playing with the guys has been fun but there is still something missing.
Back in the days it was gaming with close friends for 10-14 hour stints taking a break only to watch Bab5 or get food. I just don't feel the closeness with these guys. Some of it is the age difference, some is the gamesmanship.
If I were the all-powerful creater of things that really should be what would I do to change things: Cory would be 16-18 yo and have my same passion for gaming & LARP so we could game together, HFS would still be in it's prime and all of house impossible still going out to the same park, I'd be driving the mustang and no car payment, my friends would all be living in Austin, and I've won the largest lottery ever so that I could afford to have a life of luxury & a house big enough for everyone to live in with me.
Dreams are fun
