In canon, Nagi is a damn good hacker. It'll take him some time to get to that skill level in Somarium, but he'll still be capable of breaking some encryption if you let me! I'll let this post stay current-dated for a week or so and then forward-date it so it's stickied ( Read more... )

and this is where I try to compare hacking levels ahaha ;;

for Atsuro (47_l0w) and Hornet (suzumenet

Can Nagi hack your character?
He can try for both! He'll probably succeed in the case of Atsuro's filters (it's been some time since I last watched Weiss Kreuz and I never, ah, read the manga) but I think he'll have a lot more trouble with Hornet. To give some detail:

- Atsuro has no problem with most encryptions but he's still completely 100% human when it comes to programming and hacking and all that. My headcanon is that he's a better programmer than hacker, and pretty much all his hacking experience is for fun/practice/to find security holes. He also rarely encrypts anything specially in Somarium, so yeah.

- Hornet, is, ah, trickier. In his canon, he's partway to the level of a hacker called Falcon, probably at the level Falcon was two years or so before the canon point. What Falcon did: hack into the Pentagon in grade school, hack into Japan's special forces THIRD-i in middle school (not very well apparently since he got caught eventually, and THIRD-i raised security as a result), hacked into the traffic control center and... did stuff with traffic lights, and at canon point, hacked into Tokyo Tower in under a minute. Hornet's also hacked into the heating/gas/whatever control center for Tokyo and gave Falcon quite some difficulty for some time in their hacking battle. THAT SAID he loses to Falcon quite spectacularly eventually. I don't know if that helped in providing some comparison, so please feel free to ask me to clarify! (Also, I know jack-shit about hacking and programming hurr durr)

Pretty much everything is free game right now because I think both of them rarely filter stuff but I'llll probably include some indication if I do. And uh, if it's something that I'm like nuuuuuu definitely not hacked please! blaming the Dream Energy component is always convenient =)b

OH AND Hornet has had a tendency to derp around anonymously (although he doesn't have access to his computers right now so that's a no-go) and I'm going to ask that for now, Nagi doesn't trace him successfully in case that ever arises... yet.

...wow that was tl;dr

Well, the manga for Weiss is a prequel that mostly gets retconned by the drama CDs and then there's the sequel to Gluhen where thinks make even less sense and I don't think Schwarz shows up at all.

He probably can't get through things if Hornet makes an effort to keep it private, from what you've said there. Nagi will certainly try once in a while though!

Yeahhhhhhhhh see the only thing I remember is Nagi doing some impossible stuff with image manipulation and something with Weiss' computer derp XD

Hehehe, feel free~ I'm always up for some... hacking battles or something.

Yeah, it's implied that Weiss's computers are pretty damn secure given that the head of the police is their boss and probably had a hand in designing their setup and he gets into that...I think twice. And who knows what he's been doing in Germany in the time between the first season ending and the point I took him from?

Computer shenanigans might be fun!
