- midnight-ish: tell myself I'm going to bed soon. JUST ONE MORE ROUND OF PLAYING WITH SCREENCAPS.
- 2:45 AMish: ... still no sleep. But I have a new mood theme! :D
- Sometime between then and 4:30: Thinking about sleep. But Astrid is more interesting. Stay up. Cuddle her.
- Get ordered to respond to Tony's IJ memes. ... Still have not done so.
- Sleep. More like pass out, really.
- AWOKEN BY MEGGY AND JULIA STORMING INTO MY ROOM.
- SHOWER!
- BREAKFAST! MEDICATION! HANGING WITH MEGGY, JULIA, PARISA, AND JULIE.
- CLASS! (I think Ron has started giving me free run of the class. Like, most of my comments were on-topic but not that insightful. But I actually comment instead of expecting him to carry the conversation, so ... go me?)
- HANG OUT IN THE PUB. Write some. Spend time with Meggy, Andy, revolving cast of characters.
- DECIDE TO POP MY RPF CHERRY. ... Only, erm. What started out as a simple "J2 fluffy rom-com AU with a little bit of kink; they break up, then get back together" decides to evolve. I do world-building. Because this is apparently what I do in order to justify writing RPF.
As of when I closed the google doc I'm taking notes in: The Cast is comprised of students at Kripke College, which might as well be called Xavier Institute Knock-Off #4,012, because it's sort of ... it's Hogwarts, aforementioned school, my high school, and my university. And superheroes. Jared is from a family of big-name superheroes. Jensen doesn't have any powers (or so he thinks), and he doesn't want to be a hero or a villain. Misha is off-the-charts intelligent, but more than a little unbalanced, somewhat maniacal, invented his own major, scored a full ride by being just that damn impressive ... and balances out everything that would make him a Sue by being socially incompetent, having no understanding of causality, and being the sort of friend that Jensen constantly has to make excuses for. Like, "Misha has his heart in the right place, he's just ... eccentric, you know?" And then everyone goes, "Bullshit, Jensen, your taste in friends is crap."
Not that Jensen really chose Misha. They were freshman roommates and Misha latched onto Jensen like a barnacle. Now they share an apartment with Vicki, who is like a sexologist Sailor Moon. She has a team and everything (featuring Daneel the Bio-Chemist, Genevieve the Shapeshifter/Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Adrianne the Sailor Venus to Vicki's Sailor Moon, Lauren [Cohan] the Cranky Empath Whose Empathy Powers Are The Primary Reason She's Cranky, and Katherine [I FORGET HER LAST NAME. LUCIFER RISING!LILITH] the Heir of Doctor Strange).
... and the plot is still, "Jensen and Jared break up. Jensen does some personal growth and self-discovery. J2 get back together. Misha does something wacky."
... yeah, I'm letting it percolate to see if I can come up with anything less ludicrous. - Go hang out on the Hot Rock with Meggy, Lucy, Sasha, Anderson, and Tony.
- Watch Futurama.
- Go with Meggy to visit Mister Bill and Rufus-puppy.
- Order Sun Xing for dinner.
- Meggy comes and goes a bit. Put on various movies, including Shrek. Tony comes over for a while and plays his DS. Then he goes to Peter Pan tech stuff.
- IAN SHOWS UP. HANGING OUT TIMES. AND FUNS. He and Meggy go to see Julia for a bit.
- At some point, I'm left alone, so I start planning out an arc of ficlets for my "Desolation Row" series about Team Free Will 2.0. Because of the inspiration (... *hangs head in shame* the music meme up at chubwinchesters ... >_> ), it ends up being Ben/Jesse with a fair amount of sex. Because apparently the Antichrist ... I don't think Jesse is really "notably horny" as much as he's just used to being alone, and used to keeping a fastidious eye on the balance between his human half and his demon half, so having someone he can just let loose with (Ben) is a big deal for him. And sex is one of his favorite kinds of release.
- Like the RPF before it, this, too, develops a plot and world-building questions I need to ask. .
- Introduce Ian to Supernatural. Start with "Yellow Fever." (Ian briefly considered using Dean's, "A ghost, exactly, WHO DOES THAT" monologue for auditions in the future.) Follow it up with "Abandon All Hope…" because he likes Lost and Mark Pellegrino was awesome in that episode.
- Follow that with "The Monster At The End Of This Book." Which actually gives me bunnies to throw at "Desolation Row," namely ... Castiel's line of, "These books ... One day, they'll be known as the Winchester Gospels." Things still aren't perfectly clear to me, but I'm working on them. Basically, the overall through-line for "Desolation Row," underscoring all of Team Free Will 2.0's misadventures, is going to be the process by which humanity at large begins to learn about the fact that, no. Monsters ARE real.
But again, my stylistic inspiration for this isn't anything with the detailed, three-or-five-act-structure plot outlines with scene details that I write for my longer fics. It's more like tifaching's "Acoustics" 'verse, or the rambling unfolding of events of Middlesex.
... and I think the "Raise Your Glass" arc [temporary placeholder title, mostly because "Raise Your Glass" (P!nk) was the first song I got on shuffle; title fits as it IS about Ben and Jesse going from teammates to boyfriends and, in large part, coming to be more secure in themselves, too] needs to come at the beginning, just because so many of the prompts I drew up and outlined wound up involving Jesse using his Antichrist Superstar powers, or saying he would, or Emily/child!Lilith using her medium stuff, or Lucas going HEY GUYS MAYBE WE SHOULD REGULATE THE USE OF MAGICAL-ISH ABILITIES. SETTING UP SERIES-WIDE THEMES.
Also, Lucas is a socially awkward penguin.
Also also ... posting this on FF.net is going to confuse the Hell out of me, eventually. Though, if I keep the same format I'm using for RYG, I could easily plan out the arcs, write the short pieces, and stitch them together as scenes of a chapter. Then title the chapters on FF.net after the arc titles. It'd lose the individual piece titles, but I'm tempted to say, "worth it." - Follow that with "Bugs." Which we are now MST3King the shit out of. "NOT THE MAGICAL NATIVE AMERICAN TERMITES!" "... did they even show him [Dean] with a match?" "I'M GETTING THE FEELING I LEARNED SOMETHING TODAY." "One more menacing buzz!"
- Ian is playing his leg like a guitar. Victory.
- I have been introduced to Birdemic. It makes "Bugs" look like fucking ART.
- Time to put on "Faith." And Meggy arrives right on time for it!
- "I'm not gonna die in a hospital when the nurses aren't even hot." This line got Ian to giggle. I think he might be a Dean-boy. And now he's singing George Michael.
- Ian seems to be enjoying faith. And he and Meggy and I are sharing my room tonight. FOR THE FUCKING WIN.
- Ian is scatting "Yakety Sax" over Dean's chase scene with the cops. Life is wonderful.
- Okay, bed time.
