Words, words, words....? Not anymore
The Ministry of Transport and Road Safety has decided to lessen the number of words in road signs and use instead icons. This is an interesting development, one more step in the direction of iconization of written language. Admittedly, in this country it makes sense, since - by law - road signs are trilingual: Hebrew - Arabic - English. (Arabic, some many not know, is an official language in the Jewish state).
