odd start to the day
so I got a package in the mail yesterday, from me mum. lo and behold, the dear lady had sent me a box of "Pirates of the Caribbean" cereal! Yes, complete with Johnny Depp on the front of the box.
Was going to save it for a special occasion, but having nothing else in the house to eat for breakfast this morning I gave in and cracked open the box. Very chocolaty.
Also, I just saw a video of Devo singing (well, singing is stretching it a bit) the Rolling Stones' "I can't get no satisfaction." Wearing yellow coveralls of some kind, and swim goggles.
it's fixing up to be a surreal day.
ETA: and now it's even weirder. Can't remember where I first saw the link (on second thought, it was
ithidrial), but man o man, it's eerily perfect. Seremuppety.
ETA 2: more Bono and the boys. Never seen this one - "Two Hearts Beat as One" - looks like they're performing in front of Sacre Coeur? Hair is marginally less poofy.
And now, a song about robots. not sure what band this is, since VH1 is choosing not to give video credits right now. But the chorus appears to be "They're charging our battery / now we're fully of energy / We are the Robots." Sung in a Speak&Spell voice. Complete with computer animation circa 1982.
