So! So far, of the essays I've read or skimmed from "In the Hunt" -- and
I've been jumping around -- the ones that don't make me want to stab myself
in the eyeball are: the foreword and the essay the reviewer in TWC accused
of glamorizing the underclass ("Blue Collar Ghost Hunters").

Essays that have made me want to do something rash and unwise:

Huff's "We're Not Exactly the Bradys"
Michaels' "Dean Winchester : bad-ass or soccer mom?" (though I agree with
some of it!)
Rakowski's "A Powerful Need"
Borsellino's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Jo the Monster Killer"
Poole's "Who Threw Mamma on the Ceiling?"
Garvey's "We've got work to do"

I haven't yet read the essays not mentioned. There will be specifics on why
these annoyed me, later, because several of them annoyed me for the same
reasons.

I'm glad to be reading them, despite the hate, because they're helping to
clarify some things that have been bothering me about analysis of the show.

Sorry for all the spamming the last couple of days! I have a)been bored and
b)had a few of these hit some of my buttons, which has c)gotten my dander
up. Never a good combination.

books!, spn, buttons! i has them!
