apparently between yesterday and today, the snow accumulation forecast for our area doubled. It hasn't started snowing yet, but they're now predicting 10-18", which for this area is possibly record breaking.
I'm both excited for actual real snow, and sad that it isn't happening on Monday, when work would be for sure shut down.
I'm also feeling a bit sheepish in that this amount of snow would be, like, just any regular winter day where I grew up.

Went to the grocery store this afternoon for cookie-making supplies, and it was jampacked at 2:00 pm, if that tells you anything. Though people here raid the stores at the drop of a hat, it's weird.
