It's my day off

and my comics arrived! And it's hot out. And humid. And I was thinking of going to get my hair cut, but right now my plans involve reading me some Hellboy and Birds of Prey. And venturing out tomorrow, when it's supposed to be ten degrees cooler but stormy. Whatever, a trade off. I'd rather get wet than unbearably sweaty, which probably makes no kind of sense. Getting my hair cut involves an hour long metro ride to Dupont Circle because I made the mistake of getting an awesome haircut from a lady there.

I keep thinking about L.A. and how interesting it was (for the brief time I was there) and how that interestingness doesn't seem to pop up in movies, which is weird. Maybe because the people making the movies live there, and it isn't interesting to them, because it's just what they see everyday. Maybe because the movies center around rich boring parts of town. I dunno. Maybe that's why New York is interesting in movies: because it's a different turf to the Hollywood types. L.A. seemed just as fascinating as New York -- for different reasons of course -- but it comes off as kind of anywheresville in most movies I remember off hand. Maybe because California is forced to be a stand in for like, everywhere?

Anyway. I know less about L.A. than I do about New York, and that's not much. I've just spent more time in NYC. Any good LA place porn movies you recommend?
