From user reviews of Iron Man on metacritic (yes, I'm that bored):
"Heroes should be portrayed as noble, not as a stuck-up technician." Hee. I
liked that one. Poor guy. Think he'd consider Batman noble?
"For a superhero movie, there is almost no action." Hee. I KNOW. THAT'S WHY
I LOVED IT.
Oh, and this one just illustrates my theory that you can pretty much read
both sides of the ideological divide into the film: "Military industrial
complex driven movie should be inspiring for a younger generations. Perhaps
thats why most of the corporate media gave it a big thumbs up. The perfectly
sanctioned Pentagon film for the cattle. Enjoy."
Can there be a new internet rule, like Godwin's Law, where the first person
who accuses everyone who likes something that they hate of being some
variety of livestock loses?
And this is my favorite of the objections: "You can't mix serious issues
with fantasy!"
