my roommates are insane, post 345
first: last night, I watched Gothika on DVD, and it sort of left the stratosphere and went into left field about two thirds of the way through. But, you know, RDJ was pretty, so whatever. Anyway. After it was finished, I just left the television on whatever channel was there and wasn't paying any attention to it, and my roomie Karen stopped on her way outside for a smoke and said something like "Oh, is this another RDJ flick?" and I shook my head and said it was just tv. And not five minutes later, guess who shows up onscreen? It's apparently US Marshals, and yeah, there he is. So I burst into hysterical laughter and had to go tell her she was right. The younger bro didn't believe me when he came up, he insisted I had planned the whole thing.

jadefire88 proposes that there should be a central Iron Man fic archive. That she and the younger bro will create one. But that it should be called..... The Starkive.
Yes. The Starkive. [facepalm]. She's quite insistent. She's constantly bemoaning the lack of centralized archives these days, a la Gossamer. She doesn't even read Iron Man, except occasionally my stuff. She's just insane. The question is, would anyone actually upload their fic into something called... The Starkive?
third: We were all talking about the annoying pairing name mashup thing (i.e. Brangelina) and I mentioned that there was one for Tony/Pepper in Iron Man fandom. And they wanted to guess. It took about fifteen minutes, but Karen finally nailed it after I mentioned that it was four syllables. I'm impressed. And there was more hysterical laughing from the non-fandom peeps.
