Seek His counsel, not mine;
With thy Beloved, dine.
Lay thy burdens at His feet,
Come before His mercy seat.

Remember, I am but a man
Though I want to lend a hand
My help when thou art in pain
Is try as I wilt - in vain.

I cannot guide thee as He will
He who said, "Peace be still."
He who loves thee perfectly,
He who gave thee eyes to see.
He who has not failed thee yet,
He who spared thee from the net.
