It's absolutely not about your writing; nor is it about people enjoying your writing. After all, there is a reason why you ended up in Tribe Six, even if being in that tribe may have been your ultimate downfall ^_^ There's the socialisation aspect, there's the pimping vs non-pimping aspect, there's the n00b aspect and there's the scary tribe aspect, and they all combine to elimination meaning nothing other than bad luck.
I can definitely understand that, as someone who has only just scraped by since the new tribe structure. After following the competition last year, I had not expected to be hanging on for my life from week four onwards, and it's been a bit of a shock to the system that it's turned out this way.
The last time I looked at the polls there was a seven-way tie for last place in Tribe 7, and I was in a three or four-way tie for second to last in my tribe. The other tribes were also running neck and neck. I've followed a few previous seasons and I never remember anything happening like that before so early on. I don't know if it's a good or bad thing.
I don't know if it is a good or bad thing either. On one hand, I like the motivation to put out your best work, and I like that the people in the first couple of tribes are getting exposure, but on the other hand, I can see things getting ugly VERY quickly.
