Airport
Argh, I'm at an airport at 6 in the morning. Just got through security and all that, cheers! I woke up at 3 am after 1 hour sleep so this post is more out of nervousness and sleep deprivation than anything else. First airplane trip all on my own, this should be an experience... So when I get horribly lost could you please foreward me to the address posted on my luggage? Thanks much!
Where is amolegere going? SICILY!!!! *dances in circles* I got accepted to go on an archaeological excavation led by a UBC professor. The site is a late Roman/early Byzantine coastal village. We're excavating a house with a tomb, the goal being to determine chronology, find out what the house was used for, and find more ceramic and plant remains. Oh my gosh, first ever actual field experience!!!!!!!!!! So I'm freaking out big time. Hence the random, rambling post.
Another reason to be psyched, MWT is always saying how the Thief series is in more of a Byzantine than Classical setting, so this site could have been plucked right out of Gen's world (even if it is in Italy instead of Greece...).
Hmmm, computer battery will not last much longer and I cannot see a single plug anywhere, so for now ciao i miei amici. I will go practice my Italian while I try to combat the panic. And if you don't hear from me soon then I got myself horribly lost and will probably be wandering around some random airport like one of Ornon's lost sheep ;)
