Things I have been ignoring:
I have to empty out our guest room so my mom can stay there when she gets here in a week and a half. It is time for me to move the boxes downstairs, sort through the bags, and give away the things I have set aside to give away.
Our bedroom is currently painted in test squares, and has been for months. There is also a large plaster patch where the TV installer guys busted through the hall closet wall by accident (the patch seems good, but it's still plaster colored). Our consensus on color was either a medium steel gray, for a modern thing, or a very soft olivey sage green, for a more time period appropriate thing considering the age of the house. (I have developed a fiery love for early-20th-century golden mustard shades, but I will hold it in check for this project.) It is time for me to go to the paint store and pick a goddamn color, and paint the room with it.
My cousin's wedding is in less than two weeks, and she wants small paper envelopes printed with "Plant Me," containing columbine seeds for the favors. It is time for me to ask her opinion on color, and purchase said envelopes, and set up my printing station to get those produced. (DONE! At least, the asking opinion part.)
The yard is improving, but not done. I have to water quite a lot due to my failure to fully amend our sandy soil (this city is built on sand dunes), our decently sunny days, and my lack of mulch. It is time to go to the garden center and get myself some mulch, and then spread it around in both the front and the back yards.
