The doors open, and what do I find?

A poor joke; if it can even be called that.

Barriers. Modification. Momentary lapse in memory, judgment, time.

... Such a sound, that infernal ticking, like a bug buzzing in my ears. Only to be swatted.

do you mind?, it is unfortunate, useless as ever, unamused, information, entrance, far too obvious, make yourself useful

[...Hey now.] This isn't a joke...You're the City now.

A city, yes, as is obvious. But rather location and state is a different matter. I understand this is not the same existence as mine before.

As I doubt you do.

Isn't it, though?

Yeah, if the joker is the Devil, I guess. This place, quite frankly, sucks balls.

There is no such thing as the Devil.

How very quaint.

A very bad one, but a joke all the same. Why, I may even laugh.

Are you stupid? It's not a joke when you can't leave.

The exit may remain invisible to your lacking eyes, but it is wrong to assume there is not one. Foolish.

This is no joke. You're stuck here.

And yet I remain amused.

To be 'stuck', however, remains an impossibility. If you are able to enter, certainly you may leave.

Leaving is possible but it remains near impossible to find an exit. They tend to shift their location constantly.

Unsurprising.
