I've come to the conclusion that I need to stop being nice to people. The most annoying people want to befriend me. Kaitie says its because I treat them like they're human when others don't. And the more friends you have the more money you spend hanging out with them.. hence why i've been trying to not do anything. It also depends on the friend. I recently met this girl, ashley, who is living in my house. She's really sweet so we hit it off and talked forever. Now she wants me to hang out and talk to her constantly. All she really does is go to the movies which is $9 a pop.. too rich for my blood (says the girl who is going to la for the weekend thus spending $30 or more).
So anyway Ashley asked me if I would like to go out on Sat. night.. i had to be at work by 8am the following day, but i said ok as long as i have a ride home or to work the next say. She tried to hook me up with her friend Mike who was nice but not my type. It ended up being a really awkward and late night which sucked cuz i had an 11 hour work day on sunday. Since then I have made it perfectly clear that I do not like being set on random blind dates and what not. She has been trying to get me to hook-up with my landlady's son, who has a huge crush on me. She thinks of it as a harmless screw... and i've decided i'm done with harmless screws. Point being she is super annoying and now everyone i've met down here expects me to play hostess the second they're in WA.i hate feeling used.
So I'm going to LA this weekend to celebrate dani's b-day. I'm gonna help her set up and clean-up. I figure it isn't a terrible waste of money since I'll be able to go drop half of my stuff at home thus making the move from san diego to LA less painful. I brought a ton of unnecessary stuff down here. Yay for being prepared for anything. But let me ask you, if you were suddenly thrust into a cocktail party would you be prepared? I would! I envy those who can go traveling with just the clothes on their back. My London packing was immaculate, but i planned that out really well. This trip was very last minute seeing as how i was cleaning my house, working, and writing papers until the last second of my stay in tacoma. I can't wait to move up there!
